Freehand embroidered shoebox tag 4
Vakuoli posted a photo:
Cotton embroidery thread on linen blend recovered from and old skirt. Both pieces, back and front, are backed with iron on interfacing to prevent fraying.
I tie a string through the eylet and through a big spare button. Drop the button inside the shoebox before closing the lid and it keeps the tag hanging in place.

This is a cabinet that my mom made with her own two hands out of a packing crate before I was born. She died when I was 20 but she was an amazing woman, boldly wielding power saws and furniture stripper like a professional. I almost never saw her sitting still. Kudos to my sister for finally getting this hung up on our wall today! We miss you, Mom!

Despite all of their hard work, Millie and Mumbles couldn’t save Nibbles! There was just too much sewing to do and too little time. :(
It seems that Z-Stanley may have a new friend after all…

Unfinished Thank You No2
Bert SF posted a photo:
This morning's household was filled with arts and craft creativity.
As my wife's upcoming church conference and group meeting steadily approaches.
She was busy with her imagination for her new projects for her group.
Her creative prototype elements for handmade greeting cards and thank you cards inspired me for today's photo.
With numerous potential photos of her current projects starting to unfold, it was very hard trying to select one.
Eventually what caught my eye was a "thank you" resulting in this wonderful photo.
