PDCC #40 - Take 2

This colour scheme is so much fun... I can handle this sort of thing!!! Tonight though, I couldn't get the lighting quite right... too much white I think...
I used HA Dots and Flowers to make the strip across the centre of the card, matted onto some black. ( this card is a bit smaller then usual - not quite square but less oblong than normal)
The green star was embossed with green EP - the stamp and the sentiment both from a set by Rosie's Studio. Added a couple of gems at each end and all done.

This is a card I made for the “Anything Goes” challenge on PaperPlay paperplaychallenges.blogspot.com/2010/07/10-week-30-anyth... and for the Card Style Classy and Elegant Challenge in the Moxie Fab World www.moxiefabworld.com/2010/07/card-style-week-lets-do-cla....
It’s been a long time (all of 30 days but who’s counting!) since I last used the Large Flower stamp. The flower, which has two layers, is embossed in white on vellum. Using an embossing pen, I embossed parts of the petals with stardust embossing powder. I machine stitched some meandering lines on the card and added beads and gems to finish.

End of the Honeymoon
heather maria posted a photo:
Well it’s finally time for the sun to set on the raccoons' honeymoon. I've had great fun this month making the honeymooners' cards and hope I haven’t bored you all to tears with them! But I wanted to make one last card because of a couple of requests to send them to Asia. Hannah (Hxnnie), after the last card I have a happy ending especially for you– the raccoon guy has finally been reunited with his lost luggage and he is now the proud owner of trousers again!
Using a punched circle as a mask for the setting sun, I inked the white background with spiced marmalade distress ink. Then I splattered water on it to try and give the impression of fireworks in the sky. The raccoons are coloured with colouring pencils and clothed with scraps of paper. I clear embossed the card base with the Flourish Background.

...which I love. I haven't gotten any dies to try it with yet, but the embossing is gorgeous. (Also, this thing looks green in this picture, but it's not. It's just white, except for the red parts.)
